Prayer Ministry

PRAYING FOR EACH OTHER

Never stop praying for others.

Keep praying for God's people.

Ephesians 6:18

People of the twenty-first century are no less in need of prayer than the Ephesians to whom Paul directed these words so long ago. Praying for each other should be second nature to followers of Jesus.

In the Gospel of John 17:20 we read that Christ, on the night he was betrayed, prayed for his disciples and even for us here at Faith Lutheran Church in Coon Rapids. "I pray not only for them but also for those who will believe in me because of their (the disciples') message."

Let us heed the words of Paul, follow Christ's example and be faithful in prayer for each other. We can boldly and confidently approach our heavenly father in prayer because of who he is, his teaching, his promises and his commands. He is at the root of our requests; not we ourselves, but God .

Through prayer we are united in the love of God, caring for and nurturing each other and growing spiritually through this relationship with our Savior.

A monthly prayer guide is available from the church office, and enables each of us to share in the ministry of Faith Lutheran Church by being prayer partners with the ongoing work of the church.  Additional prayer and devotional materials are available at the information counter in the narthex.
