Beginners Bible Study - Book of Acts - The Early Christian Church
A five week study on the Book of Acts will be held on Wednesday evenings from 6:50 - 8:00 PM in the Library. We will follow the disciples from Jesus' resurrection to the formation of the Christian church and its early mission. No Bible background is required, only a willingness to attend all five sessions, if possible, and to commit to reading one to two chapters of scripture each week. A two page participant’s guide will be made available at our first meeting. All are welcome.

Does the Bible seem rather intimidating, but you really want to learn more? Have you had a new or renewed interest in your faith recently? Do you wonder about worship and the traditions of the Lutheran Church? Bring your questions to this Christian Basics class, taught by Pastor Kiri. We'll start from the beginning - learning how to read the bible, what the bible tells us about God, and how God works in our daily lives. Field trip to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts - Saturday, March 6
The hour-long tour starts at 11:00 AM. On the "Arts and Artifacts of the Biblical World", we will examine and discuss Mediterranean objects from ancient Rome and Greece, including oil lamps and glassware. We will also look at paintings and sculptures and how artists have visualized Biblical events and figures. The tour leader will be MIA docent JeanMarie Burtness, member of Faith Lutheran.
After the tour, participants will be free to roam the rest of the museum or have a bit of lunch at the museum cafeteria run by D'Amico and Sons. Faith Date Nights - A New Ministry for Families with Kids ages 0-5
Has your social life taken a dive since kids? Do you enjoy talking with other parents going through the same things as you? Would it be nice to have a night out without having to do all the work of planning? Mark “Faith Date Nights” on your calendar now!
Faith Date Nights is a once a month ministry for families in what can be a very stressful time of life. Each gathering will have a time of connecting with each other, with scripture and with a topic pertinent to this stage of life. Dinner and childcare will be provided. Registration cost is $10/family, or $5 without the pizza supper. The schedule each night will be: 5:30 - 6:00 PM pizza supper, 6:00 - 7:30 PM planned program for parents/kids nursery activities.
