CONGREGATIONAL LIFE - CONTINUES TO GROW
Are you interested in any of these Life Together or Service groups - or establishing another?

We encourage our membership to meet in Life Together groups for fellowship and relationship building and to join in Service Ministry groups. We take our directive from 1 Peter 4:10 "As each has received a gift, employ it for one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace."

Via De Cristo: Via de Cristo " Way of Christ" is a highly structured three-day weekend designed to strengthen and renew the faith of Christian people and bring them to a new awareness of living in God's grace. It is a combined effort of lay people and clergy toward renewal of the church. Based on the fundamentals of Christianity, concentrating on the person and teachings of Jesus Christ; the focus is not on Via de Cristo itself, but on the local church. The objective is to inspire, challenge and equip an individual for Christian action in their home, church and community. Intended for lay people from every walk of life; for pastors, for people who live strong and active lives in Christ, and also for those who seek to be renewed and strengthened in their relationship with Christ and the people around them. Via de Cristo weekends are usually paired, with men attending the first weekend, and women attending the second weekend. Via de Cristo is open to married couples and single men and women.

Service Ministry Groups

Quilters: Create quilts for distribution through Lutheran World Relief; we sew tops and bottoms and put filler in between them. We could always use more helpers.

Faithful Servers: Involving members in the worship ministry of the congregation; seeking volunteers to fill the many positions needed on a weekly basis (Ushers, Lectors, Communion Servers, Nursery, Greeters.)

FROGS - Faith Retired Old Guys: Gentlemen sharing their varied life-resource gifts in service; meet at 8:30AM each Thursday, join in coffee and devotions and move on to service projects - use talents and experience to the glory of God at Faith.

Home Ministry Volunteers: Volunteers offer a variety of services: cook meals, deliver meals, offer transportation, run errands, provide groceries, companionship, etc. To meet needs of members. The coordinator maintains a list of volunteer names to contact once notified of a need.

Hospitality: Sunday Morning Hospitality sets the tables with tablecloths and flowers to make the Fellowship Hall an inviting place. We make the lemonade and set out donuts, cups, creamers and sugars for a time of fellowship between worship services.

Nursery-Child Care: Volunteers work with hired Nursery Child Care Provider to coordinate and staff the nursery as well as advocate for the needs of our youngest children.

Office Volunteers: Volunteers are recruited to help with the assembly of the weekly bulletin, the monthly newsletter and any special mailings. On occasion, one or two volunteers are needed to help with phones in the office. We have a regular crew for both the bulletins and newsletter, but are always looking for new members to join.
